Project Overview :
In this exhibition hall design project, we used multimedia technology to create a fascinating interactive space with the theme of “the mutually beneficial relationship between waste and energy between cities and waste incineration plants”. We extracted the two main elements of “Nanjing City” and “Waste Incineration Plant” and displayed them in the two core exhibits in the space. Through the LED screens on the columns and walls, the audience can visualize the prosperity of Nanjing City and the operation of the waste incineration plant.
Our design concept focuses on the dynamic integration of space and content, and we borrowed the design technique of changing scenery by using multimedia equipment in different positions and angles to provide a dynamic audio-visual experience for the audience. In this 180 square meter space, the audience gradually learns about the whole process of transporting garbage from the city to the incineration plant and then converting it into energy to be returned to the city as the plot develops. The flexible use of multimedia equipment, including single screens, and front and back screens to guide the view and naked eye 3D effect, makes the whole exhibition form a coherent and layered narrative structure.
Our design not only allows the space to narrate itself but also creates an immersive experience for visitors, guiding them to actively read and understand the content of the exhibit. During each visit, a simple guide from the interpreter will allow visitors to experience the “spatial symphony” of the mutually beneficial symbiosis between the city and energy.
